All of us are thrown curve balls in life. Many of them. Some are expected, others are not so expected. But with each curve ball that comes our way, we have a choice. We can stand firm, watch the ball come our way, and then hit it, hit it with all of our strength. And then run. Run as fast as we possibly can towards the only base worth running for-God. The second choice, though easier, brings much different results. As the curve ball come flying towards us, we can set our bat down and say no. No, we will not follow whatever path God has planned for us. Whatever that base is lying ahead, we don’t want to take on the curve ball in order to get there. And strike is called.
