About me

After visiting many different blogs, I have deiced that an about me page is needed. There are so many different people in this world, and though all of them were created by the same God, all of them have very different opinions. And though I respect those opinions, I also think it is good to outline who I am, and what this blog is about. If you don't like what you are reading, then don't read it :)

The purpose of this blog is to be a place where I can jornal about my life, write down thoughts or ideas I have, and share parts of my life I enjoy (cooking, baking, sewing, photography, nannying, ect.)

I want this blog to be an encouraging place at all times. I am also an optimist. This means that 99% of the time my posts are going to be about the good times, the happy days. Don't think that I am perfect and I don't have those bad days, I just choose not to post them on my blog for the whole world to see.

I am extremely busy, and therefore, posts are very irregular. I enjoy blogging but other things take priority in my life (like getting sleep every once in a while for example :) I do the best I can to update it at least once a month. (If I can I try to do it once a week.) Basically, if you are looking for a blog where you can read posts everyday, this is not the place.

I love my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the reason that I live. I fail daily and am constantly in need of His grace (try every minute) but that is what is so beautiful about Him. He forgives unendingly, and is always there for me (and you!) I try to keep in at the center of my life, but I don't always succeed.

I try to keep all content of this blog pure and honoring to God. I may fail on occasion, but I do try my best. If you ever come across something that you feel violates what is stated above, please feel free to e-mail me at lesliejoyphotography (at) gmail (dot) com.

I love tea. Tazo teas are my favorite.

I love dancing in the rain. Especially when there are polka dot rain boots on my feet.

I love skirts. Skirts with pockets make my day.

I love flowers. I try to keep even a small bouquet in my room on my desk. I just brightens the whole day.

I am a foodie. I have a very snobby opinion of food, especially that eaten while out and about. This has developed since moving to DC, and I blame the cause of it on living in DC.

I love to cook. Especially natural, organic food.

I love to hold a baby. My happy place is holding a sleeping newborn. There is not greater pleasure in this world.

I am not a big fan of reading. Except when it comes to my favorite blogs :)

I have an Iphone. I love my Iphone.

I have a Mac, I love my Mac.

I love all Apple Products, and yes I am a snob about them. But that's because they are totally worth it (especially for photographers)

I never thought I was an artist until I started taking pictures. Then I realized I am an artist, my works of art just appear on a digital screen.

My favorite Iphone app is Instaram. You can follow me. I am Lesliejoy.

I love Laura Story, and Gungor, and Jack Johnson, and the occasional Taylor Swift.

I hope to be a Midwife someday.

Of all the places on this earth I have visited, I would have to say my favorite is.. Oh I can't pick one. Sorry.

My favorite magazine is Travel and Leisure. By far, best. magazine. ever.

I love to decorate.

Pintrest is addicting. Probably the most addicting website I know.

Never visit foodgawker.com when you are hungry. You will regret it.

I have been home schooled all of my life. And I graduated. So there public school system.

I am not what you would expect of a "homeschooler".

I am a wannabe European. I love the way they do most things. The way they eat, dress, exercise, shop, ect.
