Shakin it up a bit

We stopped and got ice cream on the way home from bible study last night, then we climbed in the car and rocked out to Tiao Cruz and Dynamite. Or actually, I awkwardly bounced around in my seat while the rest of the family ignored me. But hey, it was fun.

Last night at bible study, the message was on not getting stuck in traditions, or rituals. Christianity is not a religion, it's a lifestyle-a lifestyle lived for the Lord. But life does not have to be boring. God is Fresh, His Word is fresh, and life can therefore be fresh. It brings me so much joy to thing about that. God gives me a chance every moment of the day, every sunrise, to start over, to have a fresh start. And what am I going to do with my fresh start this week? I am going to shake things up a bit.

I am determined this week to change things up. To dance in the rain, blair music through the house while I clean, sing in the shower, do school outside, and laugh and laugh and laugh some more.

This blog has really been inspiring me lately: Kellehampton.com, I love this woman's love for life. And her writing style, its very upbeat and modern.

I heart Faces -Best Face photo- March 2011

I am so happy to enter my photo this week! It brings back so many wonderful memories from the week I spend in Aspen CO, just two weeks ago. I was the nanny for seven wonderful children, whom I miss very much :) The boy in the picture had just gotten back from a day at Ski school, and we were playing around inside trying to warm up. I was learning how to use my camera on the manuel setting this week, and I had my camera with me at all times! How I love this little boy's eyes :)

I heart faces - Favorite Feb Face photo

This is my beautiful friend. She also has a very awesome sense of style. I happen to love her very much. Unfortunately we live too far away to see each other all the time, but she is a blast every time we do. This is definitely my favorite photo from Feb. It brings back lots of good memories, and I absolutely adore the lighting!

I heart faces ~ Anything but a face!

The tittle to this post is so much fun to write! I was so excited when I heard this week's theme. I knew which picture I wanted to use right away. I took this last Easter, when my sister did her nails all pretty (well actually, they are alway pretty, she likes to keep them that way :) I love the fact that there is dirt all over her toes. It truly shows our family barely every wears shoes!

I heart Faces-Cell phone!

When I heard the theme of this week's I heart faces, I was so very excited! I am one of those Verizon people who have been waiting forever for the iphone, and I finally got mine last week! I have been discovering new, amazing apps all week long from all of I heart faces posts! My favorite, by far, is Instagram! I was a little disappointed at how blurry this photo turned out, but I still love it! It reminds me of all the wonderful friends God has blessed me with, and the great times we share!

This photo was taken with the Iphone 4 and edited with Instagram.

I heart faces~Red

This is one of my absolute favorite pictures. I love the red wagon, the hint of red in her shirt, and the expression on her face as her brothers love on her. :)

I heart faces ~ innocent wonder

I am in love with the theme for this week's I heart faces. It is so simple, and it can be interpreted so many different ways. When I heard this week's theme, I knew which photo I wanted to enter right away. I took this last spring while doing a families portraits at the Cherry Blossom Festival downtown in DC. It was a cold windy day, and this beautiful little girl was such a trooper! I love how her hair is flying in the wind, and her sweet little nose is all red from the cold!

I heart faces ~ Winter Wonderland

Since we have not had almost any snow here this year, I thought I would be a little different.
This is one of my beautiful friends, and a photo shoot I did for her birthday party! We had a blast.

When I was looking through my photos, I passed this one and thought it would be perfect! If you can not tell at first glance, she is laying on a sheet of frozen leaves! It was very cold out, and almost everything had frozen. We still had a blast!

I hear faces ~ Smile

This is my beautiful friend. She is amazing. And she also happens to be a fabulous model. This was at a photo shoot I do for one of my friend's birthday parties. And at this moment,  it just happened to start snowing in the middle of the shoot. It made for some really adorable photos!

I heart Faces - favorite 2010 face photo

This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make regarding I heart faces. I finally narrowed it down to three pictures, but really couldn't get any farther. So I just picked the easiest photo to get to.
These are two of my favorite babies in the whole world. I have been babysitting them since they were 3 months old, and they are now 19 months. It's SO hard to believe. *My* babies are growing up. Anyways, on to the picture. I love it. I love Lydia in the front, I love John in the back. This is how it is in real life. Lydia is the leader of the two, the adventurous one. John is perfectly happy to stay behind and watch. He's the little cuddle bug. And Lydia's blue eyes. I am love them sooo much. They make happy any day of the week.

So here is to 2010, I learned a lot, and I pray I will learn a lot more in 2011!
